If I sing a song, will you sing along
2003-05-03 - 6:08 p.m.

I think Madonna has realized that anything she does, with the exception of that movie she made, will be popular. It started with Die Another Day, which was, at the time, the worst group of sounds that I'd ever heard referred to as music. On top of that, it was a Bond theme. Now she's got this American Life crap. I'm not even going to waste my time talking about it, except to say the word, "crap," fifteen times: crap, crap, crap, crap, crap, crap, crap, crap, crap, crap, crap, crap, crap, crap, crap.

Rob and I are still writing our wrestling column, and on top of it, I made The Official Website of The Next Big Thing. I'm really proud of it, since it's the first site I've made on my own, from scratch. I made it in Notepad, so I know every single letter of the code. It's a strange feeling, that.

I can feel myself starting to like Dave Matthews, and I'm not sure what to think about it. It all started when I found out that he does a lot of work with Bela Fleck. Then I found pieces with his band and John Popper, then Trey Anastasio. Now he's featured in a Blue Man Group song called Sing Along. I very clearly remember not liking him at all, but now even his old songs (Ants Marching, Crash, etc.) are starting to sound good. I'm still pretty sure I'm never going to buy his CDs or go to a concert, but I'll listen to him.

We rented Wrestlemania X8 for Gamecube the other day, and it's about the coolest game I've ever played. If you like wrestling, it's a must-play. If you like fighting games, you should give it a chance. The controlls are pretty simple once you get used to them, and really neat moves are very easy to do. The pace is a lot slower than most fighting games, though. That's because it's a wrestling game.

The job search is going pretty well, I guess. I found an opening at Go-Mart in Green Valley, and it sounds like a neat job. I'm waiting for them to call me back about an interview.

After watching VH1's Top 20 last night, I'm willing to concede that I do not like all kinds of music. For years, whenever anyone asked me what kinds of music I like, I would say all kinds. After last night, though, I decided that I can't stand pretty much anything you hear on TV or radio. And while I'm talking about music I like, I like Eminem, and there's nothing I can do about it.

There are two windows in my room. One is to my left, the other is in front of me. Through the window in the left, it's raining. Through the one in front of me, it isn't. How strange...

My shoulder's sore today. I'm not sure why. Must've slept on it wrong.

I guess that's about it for today.

Later.
