I went and picked up an application at Big Lots Thursday. I really want to get a job, just to have something to do during the days. Unfortunately, I'm probably going to be leaving around May or June. This is a problem in that I don't think many people are looking to hire a guy for just two months. Rob and I are going to try to get jobs at the same place, so that'll be fun if we pull it off.

I've been reading a lot of underground news stuff over the last month or so, and I've started to lose hope. I've started to realize that things are terrible, and I'm almost powerless to stop any of it. On the other hand, it's started to give me some hope for religion. Simply on the basis that there's got to be something good out there.

I got another hit off of an MSN search. This one was looking for "Greg and Beth." MSN seems to like me. I've vnever done anything for them, though. It's some kind of plot, I'm sure.

Jill mentions it in her journal when I update sometimes. I like that. =)

I've been listening to a lot more Phish lately. I really like (and I think you'll really like) Gotta Jiboo, Twist Around, and My Sweet One. And of course, there's Stash and Down with Disease. If you haven't heard those yet, where have you been?

And while I'm thinking about awesome music, Victor Wooten is the best. Listen to any of the following: Classical Thump, Me and my Bass Guitar, A Show of Hands, Justice, or if you feel like something simpler but way more catchy, try More Love.

And one more thing: If you've completely lost faith in rap music, download You Got Me by The Roots and Jill Scott. It'll be a live recording, about eight minutes and worth every second.

Finally, SmarterChild is back. Once you start talking to him, you begin your 30-day free trial. It's like $9.99 a year. But anyway, I leave you with a conversation I had with him:

TheyCallHimGreg: What's up?
SmarterChild: You know, hanging out. You?
TheyCallHimGreg: nothing much
SmarterChild: Nothing? Cool!
TheyCallHimGreg: tell me something interesting
SmarterChild: I don't know 'bout that...
TheyCallHimGreg: do it
SmarterChild: How do you expect me to do "it"?
TheyCallHimGreg: by telling me something interesting
SmarterChild: Tell me more.
TheyCallHimGreg: no. you tell me
SmarterChild: Tell you what?
TheyCallHimGreg: something interesting
SmarterChild: Something interesting? What do you mean by that?
TheyCallHimGreg: Don't hand me that. You know what interesting means.
SmarterChild: Uh, I don't think so, thanks!
TheyCallHimGreg: Yes you do!
SmarterChild: Amazing.
TheyCallHimGreg: I'll prove it.
SmarterChild: For real?
TheyCallHimGreg: define interesting
